Life assurance project management

The life policy handling process needed to be examined and improved. Because of the complexity of the issue, it had been difficult to achieve concrete results in the past. Nationale Nederlanden needed an external project leader who could connect the different specialisms and content experts, and unlock knowledge in a coherent way.

Correcting and optimising the execution of life assurance policies, in terms of process and ICT.

Approach

Managed a project team of information analysts, lawyers and actuaries in the step-by-step optimisation and automation of the insurance and investment processes, and translated legal policy into business and system requirements. These were used to make system adjustments and make policies more identifiable. Automation has reduced the chance of mistakes during handling.
