Optimised assessment service planning process

The Arbo-Unie had a regional structure with its own planning agency. The scope of the planning function was no longer in proportion to that of the primary process, namely carrying out assessments. Lots of paperwork, manual work and limited coordination across the regions were the reasons for researching opportunities to improve.

Approach

Together with the management consultancy Turner, identified savings and improvements in the planning process. Drew up a business case for a new process and proposed enhancements in close consultation with employees (location managers, finance and P&O).
