Aegon

Cost management implementation

The insurance regulator required Aegon to substantiate the prices of its insurance products for all divisions (Non-Life, Pension and Asset Management). A uniform methodology to set up a cost-price model was needed, so that it could be used by everyone.

Task description

Designed and constructed a functional cost model design for the Pensions, Non-Life, Life and Asset Management business units.

Results

  • Central design
  • Cost-price model for each BU
  • Professional software

Approach

Analysed and quantified processes in the chain. Drew up uniform and universally usable guidelines to set up a cost model for each business unit. Guided the model construction team in the design and build of the cost-price model using the QPR Cost Perform software packet. Coordinated the Life, Pensions, Non-Life and Asset Management back-office divisions within the project.
