Multidimensional yield analysis

In 2014, Aldipress (part of Sanoma) was the logistics intermediary between publishers of magazines and related products on the one hand, and retail outlets throughout the Netherlands on the other. The organisation needed an insight into the costs of its processes, products, publishers and outlets, and the relationships between them.

Task description

Delivered yield insight for the entire organisation (logistical, commercial and supporting services) and a more professional information flow.

Approach

As project leader, managed a team of controllers and business analysts and helped collect information through interviews and workshops. Identified the activities carried out by the operational and commercial departments. Related these to the products and customers of Aldipress so that a product and client-yield analysis could be carried out. Based on this, defined subsequent actions to change external pricing and improve internal processes.
