The Consumentenbond (Consumer Association) offers various products and services via different channels. These are changing, and the organisation is seeking to appeal to a broader target group, rather than just to its members. It wanted a more detailed picture of the returns on existing and new products and services.

Task description

Developed a transparent methodology to understand the returns on existing and new products and services that the Consumentenbond provides.

Approach

As advisor, designed an analysis of the products and services portfolio. Also developed an overview of the activities carried out and, together with the different departments, designed an allocation model in which revenues and costs are calculated correctly. Based on the outcomes of this analysis, the management team made informed choices about whether to continue with products and services. The results were made available via a portal that could be accessed by users in the organisation at any time.
